How similar are they?

Closer than most pose apps. Both put a pose over your live camera, and both let you use your own saved photos as the pose: in Pose Genius through My Poses, in Onpose by importing any photo. The differences are in what comes with them.

  • Pose Genius adds AI and a much bigger library. Its AI scene scan suggests poses for your location and “vibe”, and Pro Finish makes polished versions of your photo. The library has 500+ pose ideas, including couple and group poses for men and women.
  • Onpose keeps it small, private and free to try. The library is 66 poses in four sets: outfit, travel, going out and with friends. There’s no AI. Onpose doesn’t upload your photos or reference images, there’s no account, and you can line up with any pose before paying.

Is Pose Genius on Android?

We haven’t verified it. People search for “pose genius app for android” and “pose genius apk”, but everything on this page comes from the US App Store, and we didn’t check Google Play. If you’re on Android, search Google Play yourself, check that the developer matches the one on the App Store listing (Founders, Inc.), and stay away from APK download sites.

About Onpose

Onpose (App Store name: “Onpose: Pose Ideas & Camera”) is an iPhone app for taking posed photos of yourself and your friends. You pick a pose, either from Onpose’s library of outfit, travel, going-out and with-friends poses or from any photo you’ve saved, such as a Pinterest pin or an Instagram screenshot, and it appears semi-transparent over your live camera, like tracing paper. You line yourself up and shoot, using a hands-free timer, burst, mirror, grid and level line. Onpose doesn’t upload your photos or reference images. There’s no Onpose server and no account; saved photos go to your camera roll. Browsing poses and lining up with the overlay are free; taking and saving photos requires Onpose Pro.
